Tasha's famous Sparrow Post mail system started in the 1940s when her children were small. Each child had a mail box on their door and would receive mail from the dolls.

The mailboxes were small affairs, and the post office above holds several. After writing letters and making mailboxes, all you'll need is a crow to serve as Postmaster.
