Tasha Tudor Seeds: Heirloom Hollyhock
Tasha Tudor Seeds: Heirloom Hollyhock
An interesting plant, many individuals have lobed leaves instead of the round leaves of modern hollyhocks. This strain originated in Tasha's Great-Grandfather's garden in Bourne, Mass. He was known as the "Ice King" and lived from 1783-1864. This variety will bloom its second year and will continue for a handful of years after that. Cut back after blooming and the plant puts energy into seed development to encourage a long life.
Flower: Single. Our seeds are open-pollinated which means seeds collected may not look like the parent plant bloom color. You may receive an assortment of pinks, creams, yellows or you may get all one color.
