Tasha's Successful Garden Signed
Renowned photographer Richard W Brown visited Tasha's Vermont farm in the early 2000s to make the photos for this book when she was in her late 80s. This was about a decade after his first visits to photograph her life and home for the first of the three photograph books, The Private World of Tasha Tudor.
Tasha's Successful Garden contains a fold-out sketch of Tasha's instructions for building the large stone walls to the south of her home. The book also includes fifteen rare photographs from the 1970s when Tasha's home was being built.
The remaining bulk of the book showcases individual plants and garden scenes. There are a handful of photos of Tasha gardening, like the cover photo. Tasha's last corgi, Megan makes an appearance, as do fantail pigeons and Appenzeller Spitzhauben chickens (which she first illustrated in her 1999 Night Before Christmas book.)
